Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) is an independent Enterprise function in Wells Fargo. As such we are a business unit within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation. Integrated operations organization works collaboratively and consistently across the company. The Chief Operating Office includes core operations functions for each of the lines of business under leaders who have joint reporting relationships. Including Front Line Control for each of the lines of business and enterprise functions, Strategy and Operations Planning, Sales Practices Oversight and Management, Enterprise Shared Services, Strategic Execution & Operations, Corporate Properties Group, Business Continuity and Resiliency, Enterprise Customer Excellence, Supply Chain Management, Real Estate Valuation Services, and Chief Administrative Office.
As the largest mortgage originator and servicer in the country, understanding the value of real estate, both commercial and residential, is critical. Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) serves as an independent risk management function within the Chief Operating Office that:
• Interprets appraisal regulation and sets Corporate Valuation Policy
• Communicates with regulators on pending and proposed regulations
• Assumes responsibility for ensuring that compliant valuation processes and practices are in place for all valuations across Wells Fargo
• Leads the industry in real estate valuation processes and execution
The Valuation Consultant 2 performs commercial valuation-related duties. Reviews or performs non-complex and complex valuation assignments. Duties include any or all of the following:
• Valuation management, review, valuation, inspections, quality oversight, and/or consulting of higher risk level valuation issues.
• Review or prepare valuation reports to ensure appropriate content and compliance with federal, regulatory, and bank policy, quality oversight, technical desk reviews and/or post funding review, interaction with service providers to clarify quality concerns or non-compliance identified during the review process.
• Provide guidance to staff regarding the most complex valuations.
• Perform management functions including managing complex business relationships involving internal partners and outside professionals and management of other professional team members within the context of specific assignments.
• May supervise trainee appraisers to ensure appropriate development
Preference is for selected candidate to work within specific Wells Fargo locations: Charlotte, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. Other locations in Eastern and Central time zones may be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of valuation experience
• Certified Appraiser
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service men and women.

Desired Qualifications
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
• Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
• Experience both as a fee appraiser and bank or similar institutional reviewer.
• Strong reporting skills and technically competent
• Ability to provide strong customer service while processing non-complex and complex commercial real estate
transactions
• Performing extensive research to resolve valuation issues as problem solver
• Independent worker as well as team player
• Ability to travel within territory
Job Expectations
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Ability to provide and work from a home office
