      Position Title: Research Associate/ Appraiser Trainee

      Location: Atlanta, GA

      Salary: $19.23 – $21.63 Per Hour

      National Valuation Consultants, Inc. (NVC) is one of the largest privately held, commercial real estate appraisal, valuation, and consulting firms in the United States, with offices in multiple cities. The Atlanta office is currently seeking a college graduate for the position of an Appraiser Trainee. This position focuses on completing appraisals and valuations, supporting appraisal staff, and working towards receiving certification as a State Certified General Appraiser. The trainee, under the supervision of Senior Appraiser, will learn association procedures as they apply to the appraisal function, complete appraisals, develop appraisal support data, and undertake projects relating to appraisals as assigned.
      Qualifications

      Degree in Real Estate or a degree in Finance / Business preferred, but not required.
      Experience in the real estate or financial industries preferred, but not required.
      Proficiency with Microsoft Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
      Strong work ethic and the ability to effectively deal with conflict.
      Excellent analytical skills.
      Excellent business writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
      Strong analytical and research skills with excellent writing ability required.
      Must possess the ability to interpret, manage, and strongly present information in written form.
      Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
      Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
      Strong time management and organizational skills.
      Ability to travel with Valid Driver’s license is a must.

      The position will initially include approximately six (6) to twelve (12) months in our Research Department prior to making a transition to an appraiser trainee position.
      Job Responsibilities- Research Associate/ Appraiser Trainee:

      Research, analyze, and compile written reports specific to various industry types such as office, retail, industrial, multi-family, land development, condos, hotels, resorts, etc.
      Gather data from government websites, use of numerous proprietary and public web-based sources, interview market participants, and analysis of documents from multiple sources.
      Analyze all data and information relevant to scope of assignments and draw conclusions to support the data represented.
      Read and proof all documents, reports, excel tables/templates, as well as conclusions, in order to ensure the finished product is professionally presented with appropriate, pertinent, and accurate information.
