Executive Director Job Opportunity – Atlanta Area Chapter Appraisal Institute
The Atlanta Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and service-oriented Executive Director to serve as the chief administrative and operational leader of the organization. This position oversees all chapter functions — from daily office administration, education scheduling and implementation, financial management, and regulatory compliance, to board governance support and strategic execution.
The Executive Director works closely with the President, Officers, and Board of Directors to ensure operational continuity, fiduciary integrity, and successful delivery of meetings, seminars, conferences, and member services. Responsibilities range from financial oversight and vendor negotiations to marketing communications, education coordination, and technology management, including managing various software packages, facilitating Zoom meetings, overseeing social media, and administering the Chapter website.
The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, administrative management experience, and the ability to balance transactional execution with independent and collaborative decision-making authority.
Core competencies include:
-Event planning and marketing expertise
-Strong organizational and project management skills
-Proficiency in technology platforms (including intercompany systems, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and other third-party applications)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Financial management and budget planning expertise
-Capacity to prioritize, balance, and execute multiple initiatives concurrentlyThe Executive Director must be capable of exercising sound judgment, while professionally representing and promoting the Chapter within the appraisal profession and beyond.
Additional Information:
Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. This position operates within a remote work environment, offering flexibility while maintaining regular business hours and engagement with Chapter leadership and membership. Limited out-of-state travel (with reimbursable expenses) is required to support special programs and conferences.This is a unique opportunity to play a central leadership role in advancing the Chapter’s mission and supporting the professional excellence of our membership.
