Pritchett, Ball & Wise, Inc. (“PBW”) is interviewing for an experienced commercial appraiser position. We offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to gain/use appraisal and research skills to address valuation issues throughout Atlanta, all parts of Georgia, and occasionally in the southeast region. Our assignments rarely require overnight travel.

Our office is located in the Northlake area of Atlanta; however, we encourage and provide remote access opportunities for appraisers/tasks requiring less oversight. We offer competitive industry-standard pay, all licensing dues and fees, matching 401K after one year of employment, mileage reimbursement, as well as time off and reimbursement for appraisal classes.

Experienced appraisers are paid based on experience and the amount of oversight required, with an additional split percentage available for their oversight/training of newer appraisers in the future, as well as from supplying self-generated work.

Experienced appraiser responsibilities include coordination with research staff, gathering specific market data through interviews, as well as compiling reports with oversight and final review from firm’s principals.

Applicants need to have, or be working toward completing, a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Communications, or a related field for Georgia appraiser licensing purposes. Certified General licensed appraisers given most preference. You are required to have your own vehicle, driver’s license, and auto insurance. Pritchett, Ball & Wise, Inc. is a drug-free office, with testing initially required for appraisal licensing and intermittently at the behest of clients and the firm.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is committed, willing to learn, and eager to help provide or research data for clients interested in receiving timely and reliable results. The ideal candidate would describe himself/herself as organized and methodical, curious and possessing the drive to investigate problems from all necessary angles, plus having the skill to clearly and concisely communicate research results.
